True Test for the WaterMax Water Softener on a Well in Waller Texas
I received a request from the customer to look at his Hague WaterMax water softener as it did not seem to be softening the water. This was in a rural part of the county on a private well. The system was installed in 2004 and had been working flawlessly until just recently. When I got to the customers home, I was a bit surprised by the location of the installation, but also became a true believer in how good the Hague WaterMax units really are. This system was installed outside next to the well and fully exposed to all weather elements; rain, wind, sun, heat, cold,... I quickly identified the problem to a mechanical part that finally failed. I went through the unit, replaced seals, and a few other components that showed wear and put it back together. Put the unit back in service, ran the system thru a regeneration cycle, and retested the water to verify proper operation. The WaterMax Softener worked like new. Water tests confirmed the softener was working properly and the media was still working as it should after nearly 20years in an outside environment. I asked the customer if they ever had it serviced before, and they indicated that they never needed to do anything to it except add salt every once in a while. It just worked for the last 20 years and with the replaced mechanical parts will likely work for many more.
The Hague company has been in this business for a long time, makes everything in the USA, and makes tough, very reliable, efficient equipment. I am proud to be a Hague dealer.

Hague WaterMax Water Softener & Reverse Osmosis Filtration installation w/ WIFI Remote Water Shut-off in Texas Grand Ranch, Huntsville, Texas
This was a new construction home in Texas Grand Ranch on city water. The home owner was concerned about the water for a couple of reasons; water hardness and the smell/taste of the water. The hardness will build scale on appliances, faucets, shower doors, counters, etc. and can shorten the life of these items. With a new home, the owner wanted to protect their investment and keep hardwater scale from ever forming. The Hague WaterMax Water Softener was perfect fit for this. The smell of the water and taste was largely was addressed thru the WaterMax KDF and Carbon filter media and with the addition of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filtration system. The RO system was a high capacity system that provided purified drinking water to a dedicated drinking faucet at the sink, the refrigerator/ice maker, and a separate bar sink. The last bit of security was the addition of the WIFI remote shut-off water valve for the home. This valve used sensors around the home to identify if a leak is present and will automatically shut-off the water to minimize any water damage. This valve can also be remotely turned off by the owner through an app on their phone. Great for those who have second homes.
Installation. After a few hours the WaterMax softener and the RO system where installed and put into service. We then retest the water to verify the system is working properly. No more Chlorine or Hardness from the WaterMax, and the RO system was removing 95%+ of the TDS which is typical of purified bottle water. The installation went smooth, the water is nice and soft, the owner has great tasting water, and they are very happy.

Hague WaterMax Water Softener installation w/ WIFI Remote Water Shut-off in The Woodlands, Texas
Within this home, the owner has struggled with the hardness continually building scale on most of the appliances. As a result, many of these appliances were replaced. The customer invested in many new appliances and wanted to extend the life by removing the costly affects of water hardness and scale. The solution was the Hague WaterMax Water Softener set up specifically for city water; KDF media, activated carbon media, and ion exchange resin. Along with the removal of the hardness (scale), any chlorine or chloramines were also removed by the Hague WaterMax making the water smell and taste much better.
Installation. After completing the water testing, we identified the home 'main' water valve and cleared the space to install the unit. The compact, efficient size of the WaterMax allows us to utilize a relatively small footprint, especially in situations where the home owner needs every bit of space we can find. After a few hours, we completed the installation and verified thru water tests that the WaterMax was working perfectly. You may also notice that we installed a WIFI remote water shut-off system for the customer to prevent significant water damage in the event of a burst pipe in the home. This additional device can also help protect your home. The customer is very happy.
